On my Way...

OK .. well I've FINALLY completed my 1st Uni Assignment! .. it's only taken F O U R attempts at it, before I was completely happy with having it submitted... It a little scary hitting that <enter> button .. seeing as it's not due for another 10 days .. I think I'll just sit on it a little longer O.o

- But no time to rest! .. I've fallen waaayY behind in my other subject... Time to get diligent and stick to the original plan of blocking half the week to each subject and not get carried away with just the one! Sure it's great to have one finished early .. but I'm now feeling quite stressed that the other one may be ready at all!! - as they say : Back to Work *sound of a cracking whip*

10 weeks and COUNTING!

Here we are at the beginning of week 3! And I find myself thinking how am I going to survive the next 10 weeks .. Coffee has become my new best friend and I haven't posted a thing on Facebook in days! .. My computer chair is starting to resemble Homer's couch from the Simpsons .. And as I move forward in my studies - I move backward in my housework - yesterday I spent the entire day catching up on several loads of washing, all accumulated from the past 3 weeks ... Hmmm .. and so the question is put fourth: does my Husband and kids have enough clean clothes to get them through the next ten weeks? or is it time for my 12 (almost 13) yr old to learn how to work that washing machine???

On the bright side.. I've discovered where my Tutors have put their Lectures online .. Yay .. just have to find another 40 mins a day listening to them .. aarrrggghhhhhh

1st week over ...

OK .. so the 1st week of Uni is over, and at this stage I've got all my relevant Assignments printed out in front of me .. There is ALOT of work to get through in this 1st Study Period! .. and alot of training myself in the areas of Essay writing and APA referencing etc.

Last week, after feeling quiet proud of myself - due to finished Assignment 1 of one of my subjects I was gutted to find I had trashed it accidentally, and as anal as I am - emptied the trash can .. one of my little quirks that I can stand - seeing that little bin full of rubbish .. After a few too many wines to make it all feel better, I have been able to retrieve it using appropriate software... *PHEW!!*

Note to Self .. BACK UP COMPUTER NIGHTLY

Bitten off more than I can Chew?????

OK .. well it's almost the end of week 1 - and I'm starting to feel like I've taken on more than I am capable of.. with all my assignments now printed off and sitting in front of me I'm feeling very overwhelmed with it all .. Have I bitten Off More than I can Chew?????

Who's idea was it to do a Uni Degree at my age??? Hmm.. and doing it Online - REALLY of all things!! .... *breathe* - take and deep breath and count to 3 - make yourself a coffee and work through this .. You Can Do THIS!!

I've joined all the relative forums, all the Facebook groups and have even joined Twitter in the hope of getting through this first Study Period *crosses fingers*
